Receptionists are diabolical and I get the impression do everything they can to put you off wanting an appointment!
Phone waiting times are shocking. And when I called a month or so back to discuss fast tracking my knee surgery with a GP (as instructed to do so by the orpathedic unit at St Richards hospital) was advised by the receptionist that this would require a planned appointment, and no chance of one of them for at least a month !
There is no service provided by this surgery I feel.
I was disappointed trying to get a appointment for smoking cessation
They are very good and helpful I am lucky I’ve got appointments
I went for my diabetic part 1 and the young lady who dealt with it was very professional and friendly ...
It was easy to deal with the reception ladies.
Receiving the text messages with your appointments makes for a handy reminder .
Wanted to see a doctor about painful cracking and popping in joints, particularly neck and spine. Only got an appointment with a paramedic who diagnosed wry neck without appreciating the bigger picture. Stopped the statins (yet again!) And situation now greatly improved. He talked of muscle pain which should eventually resolve itself when taking statins. It is not muscle pain, it is joint pain, almost like dried out discs in neck and spine.
